This session explores how renewable energy can drive industrialisation across Eastern and Southern Africa by powering sectors with rapidly growing electricity demand. Panellists will assess the current market landscape, highlight emerging opportunities, for example in the water sector, and discuss investments needed to expand local manufacturing and build green industrial ecosystems that strengthen regional value chains and competitiveness in sectors such as manufacturing, agro-processing, construction, and water infrastructure.
