Osprey Renewables is a clean energy company operating in East Africa We develop and invest in utility-scale renewable energy generation with an ambition to accelerate the emergence of Africa’s green industry.

We are a major shareholder in the Lake Turkana Wind Power, Africa’s largest operational wind farm, and through our team of industry specialists based locally in Nairobi, we are pursuing strategically aligned investment opportunities. We are particularly focused on closing the gap for industries seeking access to low-cost, reliable green power.

Formerly known as Milele Energy and founded in 2019, Osprey Renewables is backed by funds managed by Gemcorp Capital, a London-headquartered asset manager focused on emerging markets investing.

Milele’s development activities outside of East Africa have been spun-out under the banner of Milele Power.
