Moonga Vyne Muungo

A dedicated and innovative electrical engineer with over 12 years’ experience in implementation of electrification projects, eight of which have been focused on rural electrification, committed to enhancing energy access in underserved communities in Zambia. With a strong technical background in electrical systems design, implementation, and maintenance, I have successfully led numerous initiatives delivering sustainable and reliable electricity solutions.

I am currently serves as Manager Grid Development and Program Coordinator-ASCENT Zambia at Rural Electrification Authority. In this role, I am responsible for coordinating the national-level grid development programmes and steering strategic electrification initiatives aimed at accelerating universal access.

Throughout his career, I have worked collaboratively with cross-functional teams to assess energy needs, create cost-effective designs, and oversee installations that adhere to industry best practices and stringent safety standards. My expertise spans project management, rural energy systems, energy-efficient technologies, troubleshooting, and energy audit – ensuring that electrification efforts are both environmentally sustainable and culturally appropriate. My professional trajectory reflects a deep commitment to inclusive development, innovation, and the transformative power of energy access in improving livelihoods and catalyzing economic growth.
