Ben is an Energy Economist, with vast experience of implementing Renewable Energy projects in rural last mile, fragile ecosystems and displacement settings.

About me

Ben holds, Masters' degree in Natural resource science (Renewable Energy Economics), Masters’ Degree of Project management science, Bachelor’s degree in Natural resources Science (Agroforestry), Post-graduate Diploma in project planning

Ben is the current RHD Program Coordinator, with EUCCC/EASP project.

With 20+ years’ experience in sustainable Socio-economic development, sustainable livelihoods and energy economics and market-based development in fragile ecosystems. 

Worked with GIZ as Energy Access Project Coordinator, (10 years in Uganda), and with USAID (5 years in Uganda), for small holder farmer value addition enterprise development, and with IRISH Aid in Uganda, Ethiopia and Burkina Faso as Energy Technical advisor.

Having vast expertise in Renewable Energy delivery modeling within the refugee framework and rural development landscape within the Humanitarian-Development -Peace (HDP) Nexus.

My organisation

We, at Uganda Energy Credit Capitalization Company (UECCC) implementing Electricity Access Scale Up project (EASP), funded by World Bank and GoU. We provide innovative financing solutions and technical assistance to enable private sector participation in Renewable energy delivery models. We are dedicated to fostering development in the Renewable energy landscape in Uganda through bridging financial intermediation. Join us as we empower businesses to connect, grow, and succeed in the provision of sustainable initiatives for energy development and access to the last mile populations across the Country.
