[Invite-only: Energy Catalyst session] Energy access investor breakfast
This session, hosted in collaboration with the Energy Catalyst and ZE-Gen Accelerator programmes, provides an opportunity for fundraising energy access innovators and investors in the sector to connect and explore future opportunities.
Investors will hear pitches from 8 fundraising companies from the Energy Catalyst and ZE-Gen Accelerator programme cohorts and have a chance to hear more about the two programmes portfolios of energy access focused companies.
About Energy Catalyst:
Energy Catalyst is an Innovate UK programme funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) and the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT) under the Ayrton Fund, part of the UK’s International Climate Finance commitment. The programme aims to accelerate progress on Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 7 to ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable, and modern energy for all.
About Ze-Gen:
Funded through the Transforming Energy Access platform (FCDO) and the IKEA Foundation, and co-led by the Carbon Trust and Innovate UK, Ze-Gen is a collaborative, cross-sector initiative to tackle sector barriers and accelerate innovation to build a thriving, competitive market for alternatives to fossil-fuelled generators. Programme interventions include market research, funding for demonstrator projects, a technology accelerator, concessional capital-funded debt mechanisms, awareness raising activities and standards setting.
