Location:Speke Ballroom (1st floor)Track:Track 1

Developing a skilled workforce is essential for scaling up distributed renewable energy (DRE) solutions and ensuring a just energy transition. However, financing skills development, capacity reinforcement, and green job creation remains a challenge in many regions.

This session will explore innovative financing mechanisms to support workforce development in the DRE sector. While demand for skilled professionals continues to grow, sustainable funding for training programs, vocational education, and capacity-building initiatives is crucial to bridging the skills gap.

From public-private partnerships to impact-driven funding models, stakeholders will examine how targeted investments can strengthen local expertise, create employment opportunities, and accelerate the adoption of clean energy solutions.
