VISA

A valid passport, not expiring for at least six months from the date of arrival is required for entry into Uganda.

If you require a visa invitation letter to travel to Uganda, please complete the request form here.

You can include the letter along with your EAIF 2025 ticket in your visa application to ensure timely approval from Ugandan authorities.  

The citizens of the majority of Eastern & Central Africa countries are exempt from visa.

Participants travelling from Europe, Asia, and South & North America can obtain an e-visa.

TRAVEL

Participants are responsible for arranging their own travels at their own cost. To reach Kampala, the capital city of Uganda, EAIF 2025 participants can fly into Entebbe International Airport. The Lufthansa Group is the Mobility Partner of the event.

HEALTH & VACCINATION

Travellers need to show documentation on their yellow fever vaccination if traveling from or through a yellow fever endemic country.

SECURITY NOTICE

As you prepare for the EAIF 2025 in Kampala, Uganda (8-10 April 2025), we kindly ask you to take necessary precautions to ensure a safe and smooth experience.

  • Accommodation: Stay in trusted and well-reviewed hotels. We recommend choosing hotels from the official event list or reputable international chains.

  • Transportation: Use only registered taxis, hotel shuttles. Avoid taking rides from unknown or unverified drivers.

  • Personal Safety: Be mindful of your surroundings, especially in crowded areas. Keep valuables secure and avoid displaying expensive items in public.

  • Health & Emergency Contacts: Have travel insurance and save local emergency numbers. The nearest medical facilities and security contacts will be available at the event venue.

  • Event Venue Access: Ensure you have your event badge with you at all times for access to the venue.
